18th Congress of the Spanish Association of Political Science and Public Administration
From 9 to 11 September 2026, the Congress of the Spanish Association of Political Science and Public Administration (AECPA) will take place at the University of Granada.
Within the framework of this congress, AECPA has created Thematic Area XI, “Politics and Government in Portugal”, with the aim of promoting the organisation of panels focused on the Portuguese case, including from a comparative perspective.
In this context, AECPA contacted APCP in order to mobilise the scientific community in Portugal to participate in the congress through the proposal and organisation of panels and the presentation of papers within Thematic Area XI.
To this end, an agreement was established between AECPA and APCP, under which APCP members will benefit from the same congress registration conditions as AECPA members, with an approximate fee of 25 euros.
Accordingly, APCP invites the scientific community in Portugal, as well as all APCP members, to submit panel proposals and abstracts to Thematic Area XI, “Politics and Government in Portugal”, of the AECPA Congress.
Proposals may be submitted either as open panels or closed panels. An accepted open panel will receive abstracts within the deadline indicated in the call, and these submissions will subsequently be accepted or rejected in accordance with the evaluation of the coordinators. A closed panel will already include a defined number of abstracts at the time of submission (see timetable below).
