III Conferência Doutoral da Secção de Estudos Africanos da APCP — Chamada de pro

The African Studies Section of the Portuguese Political Science Association will hold its Third Doctoral Conference on 25 November 2026 at the Institute of Social Sciences of the University of Lisbon. The event will take place in a hybrid format, allowing both in-person and online participation.

The conference aims to promote the exchange of knowledge among students and early-career researchers whose work focuses on African politics. Papers in the fields of Political Science, Comparative Politics, Political Economy, Political Theory, and International Relations are particularly welcome, as are studies adopting multidisciplinary perspectives and a variety of methodological approaches.

The conference is open to postgraduate students enrolled in Master’s or doctoral programmes, as well as to early-career postdoctoral researchers.

The call for proposals will be open from 10 July to 15 September 2026. Paper proposals should be submitted using the following form:

Applicants will be notified of the outcome of their submissions between 15 and 30 September 2026.
