Section 2: European Studies.
Section 3: Comparative Politics.
Section 4: Governance and Local Policy.
Section 5: Administration and Public Policies.
Section 6: International Relations.
Section 7: Political Theory.

Preference is given to panel proposals.

Each researcher can present one individual paper and one paper as co-author.

Paper proposals

These should include the following:

1. Number and section name in which the author intends to present the paper.
2. Title of the paper.
3. Author's name.
4. Institutional affiliation and position.
5. E-mail address.
6. Paper abstract (maximum 220 words / 1600 characters)
7. Biographic note (maximum 150 words / 1200 characters).

Panel proposals

Panel proposals should have a title; a chair; one discussant (this may be the chair, provided (s)he is not the author of one of the papers) and typically four or five papers. These should include the elements described above relating to individual papers. Panel proposals with more than five papers will not be considered. Panel proposals with three papers may also be submitted. In such cases, the APCP reserves the right to add papers to the panel.

Young researchers (PhD since 2017) and Graduate students

Young researchers (with PhDs defended from 2017 on) and Graduate students (PhD and Masters degree students) can submit their proposals in the following formats:

(A) Junior Scholar Symposium

Young researchers, doctoral and masters' researchers will have the opportunity to present their research in junior scholar symposia exclusively dedicated to doctoral and masters researchers, following the practice of international conferences in the area. The focus of papers in this case is ongoing research. These symposia also count with the participation of one or two senior researchers, who will give feedback on the work in progress. In order to enable this feedback, it requires the prior submission of papers (between 3500 and 4500 words).

(B) Junior Scholar Papers

The paper proposals of PhD and Masters researchers will be evaluated as "junior scholar papers." PhD and Masters researchers wishing to have their proposals considered as "junior scholar papers" should indicate so in the proposal.
